Attention all Blissfest volunteers!

The Blissfest depends on the talents & commitment of you folks who are so balanced & versatile that you can work a little and have a lot of fun at the Blissfest.  July 8-10, 2005 is our 25th annual festival and we are planning another great show!

Here's the lowdown on becoming a Bliss Volunteer for festival '04.

  1. Volunteers work 8 hours- generally 2- 4hour shifts in exchange for a weekend ticket. Pre-fest setup and Post-fest cleanup volunteers are required to provide 12 hrs.
  2. If this is your 1st year a $65 (nonmember)/ $50 (member) deposit is required.  If you are a volunteer in good standing year 2 and 3 deposits are $25.  A good standing volunteer after the third year pays no deposit.
  3. We try to meet your needs about times and assignments, so please be specific on your application.
  4. Please fill out the form COMPLETELY! Including past experience and if you'd like to return to that work area. ----If you are interested in BlissAssist Campground Monitoring please note any experience with conflict resolution, security protocol, or radio communication.  BlissAssist requires experience...plus you get a BlissAssist T-shirt.
  5. When we receive your application and deposit we will schedule you and send you a packet of information containing your work assignment, job description, code of conduct, and your weekend ticket. Camping is not included and costs $10/overnight vehicle advanced or $15 at the gate. We suggest that you reserve a camping spot as they are limited.
  6. Please read everything in your packet.  It tells you what you will be doing and how to get your deposit back.
  7. Online applications will only be accepted until July 1st.Fill out the Volunteer Application Form on the Internet
  8.  Print out an application. Mail applications accepted until June 15th. Print out the Volunteer Application Form and send it to Blissfest
  9. If you are looking for greater responsibilities and  perks...READ ON!
  1. Area Coordinators, 2 or more per area, share the duties of smooth shift changes, orienting volunteers, reporting to the volunteer booth & volunteer coordinator any additional shift needs, and signing volunteer shift cards AFTER the shifts are completed.
  2. Coordinators generally split the weekend up so they each have off duty time to enjoy the festival. They typically work a minimum of 16 hours but often more. These are jobs for folks who want to really be part of the Blissfest Community of Workers and Organizers who make this festival one of the best in the state.
  3. Coordinators receive 2 weekend tickets, a t-shirt voucher, food and beverage hospitality pass, and an invitation to the Monday night Survivor's Potluck Dinner.
  4. The majority of your work is done at the festival, some pre-fest planning & post fest cleanup may be required for certain areas such as food hospitality.
  5. Each year there is a training weekend at the festival farm. 2004 training and opening weekend dates are May 14-16, 2004.

Please email jim@blissfest.org with your name, the area you are interested in coordinating, age, experience & a way to contact you.
