Blissfest Craft Booths

The arts & craft fair is open to amateur and professional artists and craftspeople who create their own works of arts/crafts. Our goal is to provide opportunities for these creators and innovators of traditional and contemporary arts and crafts to present their respective talents in a festival atmosphere of music and dance that affirms and honors our shared cultural heritage and diversity.
We will again be accepting on-line applications for 2008. Follow the links above or the bottom of the page to the on-line or mail-in application after reading all the following information .

• Include a self addressed stamped envelope (SASE) with your application.
• Print out and Complete the application form found at the top of this page and return with your fee. Checks are made out to Blissfest.
• Include 3 slides/photos of work, 1 of booth. Please label slides and/or photos. Slides and photos will be returned at the festival.
• Only work presented on slides and photos in the application may be sold.
• Application deadline is March 15, 2008 
• We will be sending out entrance tickets, maps, flyers and booth location confirmations for those selected by early April 2008 .
• Cancellations are accepted until May 15, 2008 with full refund.

 

FEES

The fee for craft booth space is $130 and includes a craft booth and one weekend admission to the festival. Only one booth per applicant, no double booths. Shared booths are available. Additional tickets for family or helpers are available by mail order or through advanced ticket outlets as well as on the web site. Weekend tickets are available to members for $63 Adults teens $30. See web site or call for membership details. Regular (nonmembers) advance tickets are $73. Teen price (13-17) is $35  and children 12 and under are free with parent. Call 231/348-7047 for ticket info. If you plan to camp out there is a $25/ vehicle weekend camping fee at the gate($20 in Advance).

BOOTH PARTICULARS

• Booth spaces are 10' x 10' in size with the artists providing their own setup.
• Set up available beginning Thursday July 10th after 4 pm .
• Setup on Friday requires access to festival from Lakes Lake Rd to Division Rd.
• Booths must be attended from 10am-6pm on Sat. and 10am.-3pm. on Sunday. Friday and extended hours are optional.
• Only juried work will be eligible for sale.
• Artists may share a booth if both are accepted.

OTHER INFORMATION

• No drug paraphernalia is allowed for sale at the festival
• There is no unauthorized use of the name "Blissfest" on T-Shirts or other items for sale
• Artists and children are not allowed to walk around festival grounds to solicit sales.
• Camping is available on site and you can setup and service your booth with a vehicle but there is no parking at your booth. Separate parking is available near the craft area. As before, there is room for some tent camping directly behind certain booths.
• Each exhibitor will be responsible for collecting the 6% MI sales tax if it applies to them. For more information you may contact the MI Department of Treasury at 1-517-636-4730.

Creative Kids Booth

We will again have a young artist craft booth. Anyone 16 and under is eligible to participate. The space will be shared among the artists. Only handcrafted items will be accepted.
