Pinky Lee

Petoskey based Jenny Bousquet and Holly Keller have been playing music together for the past year of 2007 as Pinky Lee, writing songs about family, love, and seasons, with a folky, soulful, individual style. They got their name from Jenny’s clever nick-naming of Holly’s pink capo which was made to help sponsor women’s breast cancer research. In honor of their name they make an effort to help someone’s struggle be less painful. Pinky Lee will be joined by Greg Mastin on stand up bass and Josh Hall on guitar and harmonica.

The Mob has developed their own strain of
sub arctic reggae. The unique sounds of the trombone and violin create a
blazing front line powered by heavy skanking and the Jungwirth brothers’
pressurized reggae pocket. Ignorant Mob’s many influences range from
early ska and rocksteady{Skatalites, The Specials}to dub and
roots{Augustus Pablo, Black Uhuru}to contemporary reggae-world beat
visionaries{Manu Chao, John Browns Body,Alpha Blondy, Fela Kuti}.
