The 5th Annual Harbor Celtic Festival will be held August 24-25 2007 in Harbor Springs. This cultural heritage event is annual end of summer celebration to honor the namesake of Emmet County, Robert Emmet, as well as to provide a unique opportunity for the community to explore the rich cultural heritage and tradition that resulted from the movement of many Irish and Scottish immigrants to the United States and Northern Michigan. We will also be encouraging participants to explore the downtown area and to utilize the restaurant and shop facilities which are a short walk from the workshop area in Zorn Park. Some businesses will take the opportunity to feature an Irish or Celtic theme during the weekend.

The weekend program will feature workshops and entertainment both Friday and Saturday. The annual Pub Crawl and Friday movie in Zorn Park will kick off the weekend. The 2007 schedule of activities on Sat. will be posted shortly. The festival will feature  national and international Celtic performers. Also featured will be regional artists as well as children's activities and an Instrument Petting Zoo where individuals can try out the various folk instruments.
