Community Relations
The Blissfest Music Organization has made a commitment to work cooperatively  with the communities and governments in Emmet County and the local townships. Our mutual goal is to present our premier cultural event and at the same time minimize inconveniences and impacts to our local rural area. The zoning dispute and subsequent consent judgment in 2002 outlined a legal framework with Emmet County in which to continue the annual festival within mutually agreed upon performance parameters. In addition, a Blissfest Review Committee was also established by the county as a means to discuss and remedy any potential problems that developed. The Blissfest in turn has continued to monitor the local community during the annual event through its Community Response Program.
